Comparison of models JP108 and JP109  

The JP108 (Aquarius) and 109 (Alphion) are the very newest residential water ionizers from Jupiter Science, the world leader in water ionization. These two models now represent the state-of the art in water ionization. They are essentially the same machine (see below for the differences), but they go beyond the Jupiter Melody with these new features:

• Extends the life of the electrodes. The heart of any ionizer, the electrodes, have a longer live span (by a factor of three) through Jupiter's newly patented "Double Automatic Reverse Cleaning" system, and by platinum mesh titanium construction. The result: elimination of scale (mineral) build-up on the electrodes, and a stronger, more durable machine.

• Provides you with a set pH level. Automatic water pressure control (computer controlled) maintains constant water pressure despite variations in system water pressure: this gives you a consistent pH level in the water you drink. As a result, the flow rate is a little slower than the Melody. 

• Extended range of pH (alkalinity) and O.R.P. (Oxidation-Reduction Potential). Units have been tested on a variety of source waters throughout North America and demonstrated higher pH and ORP levels than the Melody.

• The most elegant designs yet.

• Alarm message in event of low flow.

• Alarm message and ionization disabled in event of hot water flow.

Like the Jupiter Melody (JP104):

• Alkaline water can be drawn with no wait.

• Under-the-counter installation possible.

• Built-in on-off valve.

• Calcium may be added through an exterior port (both adding calcium and increasing the range of pH selection).
